ATP Rotterdam Betting Preview Day 5 | Best ATP Rotterdam Bets for February 15

atp rotterdam betting predictions day 2

Our ATP Rotterdam betting preview takes a look at the best bet for the second round matchups on Wednesday, February 15.

With five matches on the day in second-rounds, our tennis experts have found three great bets to be made at our top rated sportsbooks.

Alexander Shevshenko vs Holger Rune Betting Prediction

Powered by

Our next ATP Rotterdam betting preview features the 57th ranked Kazakh Roman Safiullin against 7th ranked Holger Rune of Denmark.

The pair have played one match against each other, earlier this year in Brisbane. The match went to three sets, with Rune cruising to a 6-2 victory in the deciding set as Shevshenko’s form couldn’t carry him to the finish line.

Alexander Shevshenko Current Form

Shevshenko battled hard in a first-round victory over China’s Zhizhen Zhang, losing the first set before completing the comeback in three sets as a -110 pick’em.

Last week in Marseille he had the unfortunate task of going against the #1 seed Hubert Hurkacz in the second round. He fell 6-1 6-4 to the Pole after being Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi 7-6 6-4 in the first round,

Holger Rune Current Form

Rune cashed our Best ATP Rotterdam Bet yesterday as a -125 favorite over Russian Roman Safiullin. After winning the opening set 6-4, he lost the second 2-6. However, he was able to overmatch his opponent in the third set for an easy 6-1 win.

In his last tournament, Rune opened up with two easy wins against Challenger-level Pable Llamas Ruiz and Michael Mmoh. However, he lost the semifinal as a -220 favorite against Croat Borna Coric when he was forced to retire in the second set due to a forearm injury.

In the AO, Rune beat Yoshihito Nishioka of Japan in the first round before French youngster Arthur Cazaux upset him as a +450 underdog in the second round.

Alexander Shevshenko vs Holger Rune Betting Pick

As expected, Rune is a heavy favorite at -334 to win the match outright. Our best bet is Rune -3.5 games handicap at -125 at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Despite allowing Safiullin to level the match in the second set, Rune showed his true form in the third set where he was better in every aspect to dominate his opponent. Once again, he faces a player that he is better in every facet of the game, and staying focused he should be able to win here in two sets.

In Shevshenko’s first match, he was only able to win 66% of his service points. While Zhang wasn’t able to capitalize by only converting 2/7 break points, that won’t be the case against a top player like Rune.

We see the Dane taking advantage of a weak service game to get the breaks in this one for a 2-0 triumph.

Hubert Hurkacz vs Tallon Griekspoor Betting Prediction

Powered by

The next match we offer up at ATP Rotterdam Betting Preview for is the afternoon match between Hurkacz of Poland and hometown player Tallon Griekspoor.

These two have played three close matches, with Hurkacz winning two of them. Last year’s French Open say a five-setter that Hurkacz won 6-3 5-7 6-7 7-6 6-4, having to come back from a set down. In Halle, Griekspoor walked away a victor in a 6-3 1-6 7-6 battle, before Hurkacz took their final meeting 6-7 6-4 6-4 in Basel.

Hubert Hurkacz Current Form

Hurkacz was in deep against Jiri Lehecka in the first round, saving three match points en route to a 6-3 6-7 7-6 win that saw him blast 18 aces.

Last week in Marseille, Hurkacz disposed of Shevchenko and Tomas Machac in straight sets before losing to eventual champion Ugo Humbert 6-4 6-4 in the semifinals.

In Australia, lost to finalist Daniil Medvedev in the quarterfinals. All five matches he played at the AO included at least one tiebreak, as he served well but failed to do much in the return game.

Tallon Griekspoor Current Form

Like Hurkacz, Griekspoor also went the distance in his first round Rotterdam match. He was able to beat Lorenzo Musetti 3-6 7-6 7-6, having to save a match point before clawing back for a victory.

He previously played in Davis Cup for Netherlands, playing four straight tiebreak sets where he defeated Leandro Riedi and Marc-Andre Huesler of Switzerland each in straight sets.

The Australian Open saw him also play tight matches. The Dutchman beat Roman Safiullin in five sets and Arthur Fils in four before falling to young gun Arthur Cazaux in three sets.

Hubert Hurkacz vs Tallon Griekspoor Betting Pick

Our best bet for this match First Set Total Games Over 10.5 at +110 at Bet365.

Both players can serve well, as Hurkacz hit 18 aces in the first round and Griekspoor had 19 himself.

The first set should see both players holding serve comfortable. Each time these players have met there has been at least one tiebreak, as well as a 7-5 set.

We don’t see either player being able to find a break early, resulting in a tiebreak in the first set.

Janik Sinner vs Gael Monfils Betting Prediction

Powered by

Finally, we take a look at the evening match which pits Australian Open champion Janik Sinner against veteran Gael Monfils.

The pair have faced off five times, with Sinner winning four of them. In their most recent meeting in Toronto last year, Monfils played exceptionally well to push Sinner to a third set, which the Italian won 6-3 in the decider.

Janik Sinner Current Form

Sinner has won all ten of his matches this season in the Kooyong Exhibition, Australian Open and Rotterdam.

In his first round match against local Botic Van de Zandschulp, he dominated from start-to-finish with a tidy 6-3 6-3 win.

Overall, Sinner has only lost three sets in his ten matches, which those sets dropped to Novak Djokovic and Medvedev in the final two stages of the AO.

Gael Monfils Current Form

Last year saw a resurgence for Monfils, as he shook off retirement rumors to finish the season with a 16-15 record.

However, the always-entertaining Frenchman hasn’t found that same success in 2024. He was bounced out of the first round in both Auckland and last week in Marseille, while reaching the second round of the Australian Open before losing to Tomas Etchevarry as a -200 favorite.

In the first round of Rotterdam, he was able to outlast Canada’s Denis Shapovalov 7-6 7-6 as a +140 underdog.

Janik Sinner vs Gael Monfils Betting Pick

Our best bet for this match is Jannik Sinner to win & over 19.5 Total Match Games -135 at FanDuel Sportsbook.

This bet comes to us as a special Parlay Boost from the FanDuel Sportsbook.

With Sinner rightfully listed as a -1200 favorite, there isn’t much doubt that he wins this match. The real odds come from the total games, which we believe will go over 19.5.

As well as Sinner is playing this season, it’s hard to see him completely thrashing Monfils here. Monfils absolutely loves the big stage and always plays his best against top opposition. Couple that with a fast surface in which he won 75% of his first serve points in the first round, we see this going the Italian’s way in a 7-5 6-4 scoreline.
