Isiah Pacheco Player Props for Super Bowl 58
Isiah Pacheco has quickly established himself as the base of the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense in his second year, as the run game is no longer an afterthought behind Patrick Mahomes’ arm. With 935 yards and seven rushing TDs this season, the sophmore running back has found the endzone in all three of the team’s playoffs games this season.
However, he will be going up against a stout 49ers defense which finished top-5 in both rushing yards and rushing touchdowns allowed.
Let’s take a look at some of the best Isiah Pacheco player props for Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas on Sunday.
The Best Isiah Pacheco Player Prop for Super Bowl 58:
Over 16.5 Rushing Attempts -110 (DraftKings)
Pacheco has moved into a workhorse role in the Chiefs’ offense, especially when they are battling in a close game.
Pacheco has attempted 24 rushes in two of the playoffs games this season, while grabbing 14 against the Bills. With KC looking to establish the run to take pressure off the passing game, it’s clear that Andy Reid is committed to keeping the ball on the ground this season.
The good news for this prop is that Pacheco has not eclipsed 100 yards rushing in any of the three playoff games. That means that even if San Francisco’s tight run defense isn’t giving up big plays, they should continue to pound the rock.
With the game being expected to be close, it’s hard to envision Pacheco not getting at least four rushes per quarter, which would put this prop over the total.
Isiah Pacheco Under 17.5 Receiving Yards -115 (FanDuel)
As good as the 49ers are against defending the run, they are even better at stopping running backs from getting involved in the passing game.
In the 49ers last six games, they have allowed allowed a running back to break 18 receiving yards once. That was against the Baltimore Ravens, whose option offense is extremely focused on getting the ball out to RBs in open space.
Pacheco has only broken 18 yards once in his last six games and has only caught six passes for a total of 27 yards in all three playoff games combined. The Chiefs prefer screen passes to wide receivers, which should keep Pacheco in pass protection rather than running routes.
Isiah Pacheco Anytime TD Scorer -120 (Caesars)
While getting minus money on an anytime TD scorer is not always the best bet, it’s hard to believe that Pacheco doesn’t find his way into the endzone on Sunday.
Pacheco has scored a touchdown in his last seven games and the 49ers just gave up three rushing touchdowns to the Lions two weeks ago.
Gone are the days of a KC offense that lives off of deep balls. The more methodical approach to sustained drives has given Pacheco the opportunity to thrive in the redzone and the Super Bowl shouldn’t be any different.
In last year’s Super Bowl, Pacheco ran in a touchdown from the 1-yard line to cap off the first drive of the third quarter. When the Chiefs get inside the 10, they will be looking to hand the ball off to their tailback to get six points on the board.
